Saskatchewan Updates In-Demand Occupation List

On May 1st, 2019 the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) made additional changes to their in-demand occupation list. This list is used for those applying under the International Skilled Worker: Occupations in Demand and International Skilled Worker: Saskatchewan Express Entry programs.

The current National Occupational Classification Codes which are on the list are as follows:

0423 – Managers in social and community services

1311 – Accounting technicians

2174 – Computer Programmers and interactive media developers

2251 – Architectural technologists and technicians

3211 – Medical laboratory technologists

3215 – Medical radiation technologists

3216 – Medical sonographers

3234 – Paramedics

4151 – Psychologists

4212 – Social and community service workers

4214 – Early childhood educators

4215 – Instructors of persons with disabilities

5254 – Program leaders and instructors in recreation, sport and fitness

6331 – Meat cutters

6332 – Bakers

7292 – Glaziers

7312 – Heavy-duty equipment mechanics/technicians

7321 – Automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers

7322 – Motor vehicle body repairers

For those who have worked in one of the above fields, they may be able to apply for a Provincial nomination if they can meet the points requirements of the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid or have a valid Express Entry Profile. Depending on the National Occupational Classification Code you are applying under, you may need to meet other specific requirements such as educational requirements or provincial licensing.
