On November 9th, 2018, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) announced that they had reached their quota of Provincial Nominations for 2018 and would not be handing out any new nominations until 2019.
Ontario handed out 6,600 Provincial Nominations in 2018. The break down of the programs these nominations were issued in is below:
Near the end of 2018, the OINP was almost exclusively handing out nominations to those who were fluent in French.
The OINP also confirmed that new applications, and applications which have already been submitted to the OINP, will continue to be accepted and considered under the OINP’s 2019 nomination allocation, with the exception of the Masters Graduate stream.
