On June 26th, 2018, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada reduced the number of days applicants will have to respond to an Invitation to Apply.
Previously, anyone who had received an Invitation to Apply had 90 calendar days to either decline their Invitation to Apply or to submit their completed application for Permanent Residency. For any applicants who receive an Invitation to Apply after June 26th, 2018, they will not only have 60 calendar days to either decline their Invitation to Apply or to submit their completed application for Permanent Residency. This reduction is reducing the time lines back to where they were when the Express Entry system initially launched in January of 2015.
Those applicants who receive an Invitation to Apply before June 26th, 2018 will not be effected and will still have 90 calendar days to either decline their Invitation to Apply or to submit their completed application for Permanent Residency
