On May 17th, 2016, Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program announced on their website that they have re-opened the International Skilled Worker – Saskatchewan Express Entry category for an additional 500 applications.
This Provincial Program is for those who are already in the Express Entry Pool and meet the following criteria:
- Score a minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program point assessment grid
- Have a valid language test result
- Have completed post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship that’s comparable to the Canadian education system of at least one year in length
- Have at least one of the following in your field of education or training occupation:
- One year work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades applicants);
- Two years work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years; or
- Twelve months work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades).
- If your occupation is regulated in Saskatchewan, you need to show proof of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure
- Proof of the required settlement funds for your family size
- Be able to show why you would like to immigrate to Saskatchewan
Your work experience is in one of the following occupations:
- Computer and information systems managers
- Managers in social, community and correctional services
- Recreation, sports and fitness program and service directors
- Facility operation and maintenance managers
- Managers in agriculture
- Property administrators
- Purchasing agents and officers
- Health information management occupations
- Mathematicians, statisticians and actuaries
- Information systems analysts and consultants
- Biological technologists and technicians
- Landscape and horticulture technicians and specialists
- Civil engineering technologists and technicians
- Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians
- Aircraft instrument, electrical and avionics mechanics, technicians and inspectors N
- Drafting technologists and technicians
- Technical occupations in geomantic and meteorology
- Gas fitters
- Heavy-duty equipment mechanics
- Automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers
- Appliance servicers and repairers
